The Room funds small, local charities that drive meaningful change for women, children and young people.

We support leaders with deep expertise – whether gained through lived experience or professional practice – who truly understand the needs of their communities. Our unrestricted funding helps organisations grow, strengthen their foundations, and build long-term sustainability, creating transformational impact across the whole charity and in the lives of the people they work with.

Our annual grants cycle runs from autumn to late spring. Each year we award one large Impact Grant, which may be disbursed over a single year or spread across several years, as well as at least two smaller Investment Grants. The size of our grants varies each year and is directly linked to the number of members and donations we receive.
